| Thoroughbred Bloodlines - An
Elementary Study in Two Volumes, 1935
John F. Wall, 1935, privately published. Two volumes bound in maroon cloth: Vol. I: slight wear to edges, very good +, 212 pgs. Vol. II: bottom of spine bumped, wear to edges, spot on back board, otherwise bright and sound. 17 x 22, composed of charts, fully indexed but unpaginated. A most worthy compilation of family tables of the thoroughbred prior to Bobinski, including the earliest contributing lines. Tables of descent from the Godolphin Arabian, Darley Arabian, Byerley Turk, and Foundation Mares of the Thoroughbred. Volume I gives further details on many of the horses found in the tables of Vol. II, very good chapter on principles of mating. These volumes are the first editions of this title, which was revised in 1939 and again in 1946 (?). |
